I'm Jennifer Lee, founder of JLC Life Sciences. I advise boards, founders, and investors on the decisions that shape a life sciences company’s future: which programs to advance, where to commit capital, and when to change course. My work spans strategy, governance, and regulatory execution. I also serve as an independent board director and hold the CDI.D designation from Corporate Directors International.

I bring more than two decades of experience across early development, pivotal trials, and registration in both large pharmaceutical companies and smaller biotechs. My work has contributed to nine FDA approvals. Along the way, I’ve built development functions, managed global programs and budgets, and made hard decisions about teams, vendors, and where to keep investing. That experience has taught me to assess not just whether a strategy makes sense, but whether a company is equipped to carry it out.

In the boardroom and in diligence, I look beyond the problem described in the first meeting. A stalled program may come down to an unrealistic plan, unclear responsibilities, a vendor arrangement that needs to change, or a decision no one has been willing to make. The useful answer comes from understanding how the whole system fits together—and what is getting in the way.
